Finding spalted maple is like discovering truffles in a forest!   Spalted wood is born when fungus transforms it by laying down "tide" lines which create unique lace patterns.  The wood is  fragile and of varying density making it challenging to turn and thus making a Spalted Maple piece rare and very special indeed!  This gorgeous"BonBon" bowl is 4" across and 6" deep.  Sadly it does not come with the BonBons.
